William L. (Bill) Buchanan

Upon graduation from Oregon State University, Bill received a reserve commission in the United States Marine Corps, then served as an infantry officer with the First Marine Division in Vietnam. From 1969 until his retirement in 1996, he served as a Special Agent in the Federal Bureau of Investigation. His assignments included interstate car thefts, interstate shipment thefts, foreign counter-intelligence operations, counter-terrorism, and white collar crime. Upon retirement from the FBI, Bill joined his colleague Rick Smith as Vice-President of Cannon Street, Inc. a full-service investigation firm in the Financial District of San Francisco, California. Bill left the firm in 2014 to form his own company closer to home in Marin County, California.
